The King’s Scholarship Exams are the benchmark for 13-year-olds. The logic is that the confidence in their ability and interest in their topic will open future opportunities and convince the gatekeepers that they are the right individuals to achieve their ambitions. My approach is to improve grades in the short term and to ensure they increase their chances of success in the future.
Every child is different, and combined with their parents, they are likely to know more about themselves. I work closely to provide a highly tailored approach and explore opportunities for sustainable improvement. I provide measurable actions and capture clear and demonstrable results for confidence.
The rate is £100 per month for 4 x 30 minute sessions. For more information, please email derek@beascholartuition.co.uk. Availability is limited. An application is required. Please write in about 30 minutes on the three key criteria below. I will provide feedback on whether to proceed after the first 4 sessions.
- Personal statement: – A way for the child to introduce themselves. It would be great if the child has a passion for any topic.
- Objective – Our objective is excellence; we are looking for one or more subjects of interest: Mathematics, English, Sciences, Foreign Languages, Music, History, Geography or Arts. Does the child want to be good at one of the subjects? We are looking for motivated individuals who can achieve a high level of competence.
- Parental involvement – The success will require parent’/s’ support in developing ideas and modifying their environment to maximise the probability of success. Therefore, parent/s will need to describe how much time they have to support their child’s journey. 1 to 2 hours a week is a good start.
If your child shows a high level of interest in a particular topic, like robotics, science, or aspirations to a specific profession. You (the parents) also have 1 to 2 hours a week and are willing to support the child’s ambitions. We can help.
After the four sessions, you will understand what BE a Scholar Tuition is about.
