Progress so far
The project is about half way in the 2 years duration. It looks like I am about 8 episodes behind to 50/99. However, my concept of tuition has really converged into a single strategy, “Succeed in the first interview in whichever subject”. Don’t worry, I will continually work on the wording on the title.
Why the interview? I assume a successful outcome to an interview is generally a good thing. In what subject? I think it could anything, let our curiosity and imagination run. I am sure that the fundamental subjects (English, Maths, Sciences) will be the building blocks on that topic. Expertise advice can be readily available with Social Media. For those who don’t have a particular topic of interest, keep looking or switching to find that topic. The key is to continually explore and find that interesting topic (which will undoubtedly change as one grows).
The National Curriculum (NC) prepares individuals for adult life. My intention is to use the King’s Scholarship academic level which is certainly beyond NC level to prepare individuals to achieve the life that they strive for. I want to improve their grades by focusing on something that they are passionate about or looking for something that they can be passionate about.
The approach focuses on the process, which is mainly unsupervised learning. I want to make sure each individual is studying effectively, motivated and has a portfolio that they can be proud of. Timeless.
What is on the horizon.
Checkpoint 6 – Mindset. The aim is to create a portfolio that provides the person confidence and demonstrates convincing evidence to others. The person can show a growth mindset and passion in a subject that they like and be happy.
Checkpoint 7 – Community. I look to build a supportive community to encourage each other to be individuals and the best versions of themselves, by using curiosity, understanding, and appreciation. This should close the loop on the entire approach and strategy.
My inspiration – Ross Brawn, Adrian Newey, George Whiteside and Carol Vorderman. What I find inspirational, and how I tried to add qualities into my approach.
Concentrated concentration – How to concentrate these days (not on the mobile-phone). I need more concentration.
“We are looking for THE balance.” My supervisor at the F1 Team stated. There were so many factors at play to go racing. I will write about the attention to detail approach hopefully evident on this blog.
Benchmark with other tuition approaches – After all this, I will compare it with other tuition options. Other options are really well established and I may have wasted my time, but I think there is one factor that is different.
